The previous owners Dawn and Steve Puryear helped load her up at the marina in Washington.

After she was delivered we were lucky enough to move her into the truck bay at Stefan's workplace, Aquadrill. Our first project was to remove the bottom paint.

Unfortunately we did find some blisters that required additional sanding, cleaning with Acetone and then some fiberglass putty. Luckily it appears that the blisters are not in the hull but ...

An outside view of the port side. The wood is wet, but does not appear to be rotted or damaged. So we remove the outer fiberglass layer, and will let it dry.

When the wood of the wave blocker was pressed on water acutally seeped out. This was not going to dry out. We decide to replace the entire area. We can rebuild it!!!

We used green fiberglass hair to glue the new piece of plywood back into the coaming. We discovered that "hair" is very difficult to work with and would not recommend it!

The hair did do the job we had intended. And with more elbow grease we were able to sand the edges relatively flush with the plywood and existing fiberglas.

We cut the new rudder out of one sheet of marine plywood and prepared a large batch of resin to glue the two sheets together.

Stefan faired the trailing edge hoping to gain ~ 0.5knot of speed! He also created the "mini rudder" which will hopefully turn into our self steering device.
