Wishing Star is a Flicka which our friends Elizabeth and Stefan picked up in Seattle. Now they have her home, and the work is just getting started. (This is an excellent way to test a relationship.)

BayAreaSailingSchool > Wishing Star is a 1977 NorStar' Flicka that we purchased on a quick trip to Seattle.

BayAreaSailingSchool > The previous owners Dawn and Steve Puryear helped load her up at the marina in Washington.

BayAreaSailingSchool > She was transported by A1 Transport company from Seattle to Houston without any major problems!!! (phew!) We were a little nervous...

BayAreaSailingSchool > After she was delivered we were lucky enough to move her into the truck bay at Stefan's workplace, Aquadrill. Our first project was to remove the bottom paint.

BayAreaSailingSchool > After much discussion, and ALOT of elbow grease we did manage to chip off the layers of bottom paint with putty knifes, thus decreasing the amounts of toxic dust we were exposed to. (And yes I wore a mask too, this is just a "posing" photo!! No dust being generated. Stefan is rather nerotic about that environmental exposure stuff!)
