Our instructor Dorie, just trucked her Friendship 30 in from California and decided she (the boat, not Dorie) needed a make over, starting with the bottom. This is a work in progress so check in from time to time to see new photos.
Day 7ishTop sides are getting so shiney I can't take a picture without the flash shining back. This is the second coat of Easypoxy topside paint by Petit.
Day 10 The bottom is finally sanded and ready to paint. The rudder has its first coat of epoxy. Time for glass and several more coats.
Here you can see the bare rudder and the new water line (white) as well as the old water line and the effects of it being under water.
ASs the project extends into week 2 I stop to admire her lines and assess what is left to do. That and everything is so sticky with wet paint, newly lade epoxy, fairing compounds and tape i am afraid I might become permenantly adhered to the hull if I get close enough.
